Exfoliating masks are usually the best part of any skincare routine thanks to their fun textures and association with relaxation. However, rather than leaving your skin feeling hydrated and clean, they often result in a dry, irritated face. This is due to the fact that most physical exfoliators utilize seeds, sugars, or tree nuts as the principal exfoliating agents. While natural particles from these ingredients seem great, they are not perfectly spherical and the ragged edges lead to small cuts and scratches in the skin, otherwise known as micro lacerations.


But DIME is different. Our Whipped Exfoliating Mask consists of three different-sized cellulose beads that are perfectly round.  Cellulose is found in the cell walls of green plants, meaning the spherical beads are not only gentle on the skin but also natural and vegan. Our largest beads break down dead skin cells and dirt, while the smaller beads ensure the skin is left polished and smooth.

While the cellulose beads help ensure a clean complexion, our proprietary blend of Lactic acid (AHA) and Salicylic acid (BHA) target other skincare concerns.


Lactic acid reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and dark spots, while also tightening and firming the skin. Salicylic acid is used to regulate sebum production. What even is sebum? Sebum is a waxy, oily substance in your skin glands that is responsible for the appearance of acne when it is overproduced. By regulating the production of it, you can avoid future breakouts and reduce inflammation. To reinforce the anti-aging properties of AHA and accomplish brighter skin, the formula is completed with pea extract.


Now that we’ve convinced you to try our Whipped Exfoliating Mask, you’re going to want to coat your face in the whipped goodness nightly… but don’t! Exfoliating too often can result in damage to your skin’s protective barrier.

To reap the benefits of this popular product, apply twice a week at night.  


HOW DO I BEST USE THE EXFOLIATOR YOU ASK?


-Start by cleansing with our gentle jelly cleanser and rinse


-While your skin is still damp, apply a thick layer of the mask and massage it in a circular motion for 30-60 seconds. The cellulose beads will biodegrade as you apply the mask meaning no microbeads have the potential to contaminate the environment. 


-Let the mask sit for about 5 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water


-Pat dry and continue on with your skincare routine (time for toner!)
